Become a Student Representative

Student representation ensures that positive changes are continually made to your university experience.
Every school and faculty has one or more student representatives. It is a brilliant opportunity to get involved with student life on a whole new level. You get to make positive changes to the university whilst meeting new people and learning new skills.

As a student representative you get to;
•    Convey the needs of students to university staff to ensure Murdoch meets its obligations to students.
•    Vote on important decisions affecting the educational standards of your school/faculty.
•    Develop professional and personal skills.

As a student representative you will experience challenges that many other students will rarely face. Your contribution is noted on your Developmental Transcript, which you receive with your Academic Transcripts upon Graduation.

What's involved?
-         Attend around 6 School/Faculty meetings in 2010
-         Attend Education Board meetings to discuss issues with other representatives
-         Be available to communicate with students about problems in your Faculty's or School
-         Report to the Education Vice-President about issues in your school/faculty

You will receive all the support and information you need to make your experience as a Student Representative as rewarding and effective as possible.
