Lauren Loveday

MISA President 2009

In 2009, MISA will seek to foster greater multiculturalism within the Murdoch community. We acknowledge the diversity of cultures in this one place and realise that we have a lot to learn from each other. Harmony Week in the first semester and Multicultural Week in the second are set aside to celebrate this diversity and are MISA's biggest festivals. Other events organised by MISA are Orientation trips, Permanent Residency seminars, careers and job preparation seminars, various sporting events, etc. You will be advised of any of these as they come up.

MISA's greatest priority is to represent international students on various platforms at the university. Working together with the Guild and Murdoch International, we aim to make the educational and social experience of international students as hassle-free as possible. We will endeavour to advise anyone seeking our assistance on any number of issues such as examination results appeals, racism and sexual harassment on campus, etc on the course of action to take and the right people to talk to. You can get in touch with me or any of the executive via email or phone (listed below) at anytime.

If you are interested in getting actively involved in the MISA executive or its various committees or you just want to know more about us, please get in touch. We look forward to meeting many of you during this year and working together to make our Australian experience a life-long treasured memory.
