For the cost of a local call from anywhere in the State, advisers are available to provide legal advice and information. If the advisers are not able to help you they will refer you to another service either within Legal Aid or to another organisation.
Lines are open 8.30 am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Legal Advice Bureau (LAB)
Solicitors are available for a small fee to provide more detailed advice on some legal issues. Appointments can be made at your closest Legal Aid Office and the appointment can be either in person or by telephone.

Community Legal & Advocacy Centre (CLAC)
Fremantle based service, available to low income earners in and around the Fremantle, Cockburn and Melville areas. Solicitors provide referrals, legal advice and limited representation on a number of matters;
Evening Duty Lawyer Service (family & general law)
Mondays & Wednesdays 6 – 8pm
By appointment only. Phone between 9 – 10.30am on the day you wish to attend. Free service for Health Care Card or Pension cardholder’s. Admin fee of $15 applies for non-cardholder’s.
Youth Legal Service. Provides FREE service & assistance to young people under the age of 25 and on a low income. Ph: 9202 1688
Southern Communities Advocacy, Legal and Education Service (SCALES)
Offers initial legal advice and referral to people living or working in the Rockingham, Kwinana, Mandurah and Pinjarra areas. Service available by appointment only.

Sussex Street Community Law Service. Assists people living in the Victoria Park region. Can provide advice on matters such as: Family Law, Motor Vehicle Accident, Criminal Injury Compensation, Personal Injury, Employment Law & Minor Debts.
